# Connect Slack

With the Slack integration you can get task notifications in Slack and create
tasks from messages.


SET IT UP

 1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Slack.
 2. Click Connect and sign in to your Slack workspace.
 3. Approve the requested permissions.


WHAT YOU CAN DO

 * Project channels: post updates from a project to a Slack channel. Open the
   project, then choose ⋯ → Send updates to Slack.
 * Create tasks from messages: hover over any Slack message, click More actions
   and choose Create Test Lab task.
 * Personal notifications: get direct messages when you're assigned or
   mentioned.

Only workspace admins can connect Slack. Each member links their own Slack
account the first time they use it.
