# Link GitHub pull requests to tasks

Connect GitHub to see pull request status on your tasks and close tasks
automatically when code ships.


CONNECT

 1. Go to Settings → Integrations → GitHub.
 2. Click Install GitHub app and choose the repositories to give access to.


LINK A PULL REQUEST

Add the task ID (for example TL-482) to the branch name, PR title or PR
description. The PR appears on the task with its status: open, merged or closed.


CLOSE TASKS AUTOMATICALLY

Write Fixes TL-482 or Closes TL-482 in the PR description. When the PR is
merged, the task is marked complete.
